Aileen Bordman - Key Player for Monet's Palate

Aileen Bordman

Aileen wrote and created “Monet's Palate” out of her passion for all the worlds Monet inhabited…his art, his cuisine, and his gardens. She is the President of an independent film company dedicated to bringing projects about art and food to life. Aileen is also President and Founder of Monet’s Palate,Inc.

Aileen is a member of the prestigious International Association of Culinary Professionals.

Barry Wine - Key Player for Monet's Palate

Barry Wine

Barry has believed in Monet's Palate from its conception and has been a guide and friend. He is a food consultant in the restaurant and entertainment business. In 1975, Barry opened the now famous restaurant Quilted Giraffe in New York. Later, he was named Head of Special Ventures for Sony Music Corporation where he produced a dining club located on the top story of the Sony Entertainment Building and remained executive president until 1995. In 1996, he started Restaurant City, an internet site catering to the restaurant entertainment business. You can even find a pizza pie named after him, Barry Wine Pizza, at Mercer's Kitchen in Soho, New York.

He studied architecture at Columbia University and majored in law at Chicago University.

Chuck Wallace - Board of Directors for Monet's Palate

Silicon Valley to Giverny - that's a leap! In Chuck's case a leap of belief in Monet's Palate. Currently COO and President of Upstream, Inc., Chuck is also co-founder of Esurance and helped build it into the fastest growing auto insurance company in the US. Chuck also served as CEO of Ustream TV, the leader in live interactive video broadcasts. He contributes significant e-commerce and business prowess as a Director to Monet's Palate.

Chuck holds a BS in Engineering Mechanics from the US Air Force Academy, an MBA from the University of Pennsylvania's Wharton School, and a JD from the University of Pennsylvania Law School.

In honor of Helen Rappel Bordman (1931 - 2020)

Dame Helen Rappel Bordman, was Knighted by the French Government, initiated by a letter of recommendation from Meryl Streep.

Under the aegis of the Versailles Foundation and its president Florence Van der Kemp, this Francophile helped, from the beginning of the 1980s, to collect funds to restore the domain of the painter. Ginger Rogers, Gregory Peck, Kirk Douglas, Audrey Hepburn, Pierce Brosnan, Meryl Streep, and Presidents and dignitaries would enjoy tea with the Grand Dame.

Helen founded the volunteer program which offers foreign interns the opportunity to immerse themselves in the world of the Monet Foundation. Her devotion, for almost forty years, to Giverny has never wavered.
